The Shadow of a “Dream” Cast upon Giardini della Biennale<\/a> \u2014 is the project, curated by the Open Group, which was presented at the Ukrainian pavilion in the 2019 Venice Biennale of contemporary art. Dream \u2014 is literary translation of Mriya<\/em> \u2014 Ukrainian aircraft, the biggest in the world. It stirred up a strong public reaction, provoking an animated discussion.<\/p>\n

During the event, the speakers shared their experience of cooperation with the government institutions and communication with people opposing the project. They talked about the problems in the contemporary Ukrainian society, state, the national dream, relationship between the past and the future, as well as what it means to be a Ukrainian artist.<\/p>\n
